Fluoride - also known as Hydrofluosilicic acid (HFS) or Fluorosilicic Acid (FSA) - is a transparent, colorless (water white to straw yellow) aqueous solution that is used in a variety of applications, including the major end use - water treatment for fluoridation. HFS is produced during the concentration of phosphoric acid in an evaporation process unique to the phosphate industry.
